The Munk School’s prestigious Master of Public Policy (MPP) brings together an impressive array of students and faculty for a two-year, full time program that bridges Canadian and global policy.
In addition to a paid summer internship and a wide range of career support services, students develop core competencies considered essential for policy practice and take electives from both within the Munk School and in the broader University.
Visiting public sector leaders along with a renowned multidisciplinary faculty bridge theory and real world experience, providing contact with senior professionals in government and the broader public, private and community sectors.
Students may also apply to the combined joint JD/MPP degree as well as pursue collaborative specializations with other graduate departments.

In the first year, students take seven core half-courses, and one integrating seminar worth one-half course for a total of four full-course equivalents.

Our multi-disciplinary curriculum teaches students to analyze quantitative research, consider the socio-economic impacts of policy, and foresee how governance structures affect the modern policy environment.

Students are required to complete a policy internship between the first and second year of study. A dedicated Career Services team supports students in their internship and full-time job search.To this page
