In the first year, students take seven (7) core half-courses and one (1) elective half-course, for a total of four full-course equivalents.

The program also includes a mandatory (paid) internship, worth one (1) full course. It is completed in the intervening summer between the program’s first and second year.

In the second year, students take four (4) core half-courses and four (4) elective half-courses*, for a total of four (4) full-course equivalents.
*0.5 credit either PPG2008H or an alternate international/global focus course as approved by the MPP program director.

MPP students may complete one of three (3) areas of emphasis as part of their second-year of studies.
