March 9, 2015 | By Public Policy Admin |
Join us for an expert discussion of the relationship between regional and municipal governments.
Ed Sajecki
Commissioner of Planning and Building, City of Mississauga
Arvin Prasad
Director of Integrated Planning, Region of Peel
Typically in Canada we think of 3 orders of government: federal, provincial, and municipal. However, some parts of Ontario actually have 4, including a regional government operating between the city and the province. What is their jurisdiction? How do they work together?
Ed and Arvin will be discussing the nature of the relationship between regional governments and its member municipalities in Ontario. This event will be moderated by Professor Gabriel Eidelman.
This event is organized by SPPG students and alumni.
