SPPG Fellows featured in ‘Democracy 360: Follow the Leader?’ pre-election debate

Bob Rae, SPPG Distinguished Senior Fellow and Instructor, and Alison Loat, SPPG Fellow, are two of four panelists being featured by the Toronto Public Library and Samara Canada in a pre-election debate on the kind of leadership Canada needs for the next four years.

Bob Rae was elected eleven times to the House of Commons and the Ontario legislature between 1978 and 2013. He was Ontario’s 21st Premier from 1990 to 1995, and served as interim leader of the Liberal Party of Canada from 2011 to 2013. For the 2015/16 academic year, he is co-teaching ‘The Role of Government‘ at the School of Public Policy and Governance.

Alison Loat is the co-founder and former executive director of Samara Canada and co-author of the #1 best-selling book Tragedy in the Commons. She used to teach at the School of Public Policy and Governance.
