Professor Pettinicchio comments on the emergence of disability as a campaign issue in the 2016 US Presidential race for the Huffington Post Blog

Professor Pettinicchio argues that while the emergence of disability rights as a campaign issue is worth praising, more emphasis should be placed on activating existing disability rights legislation to remove barriers to employment.

Professor Pettinicchio is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, joining the Department of Sociology in 2014 where he teaches courses in quantitative methods, social policy and political sociology. For the 2015-16 academic year Professor Pettinicchio will be teaching PPG1005H: The Social Context of Policy-Making at the School of Public Policy & Governance.
