OPS Resume/Interview Skills Workshop (MPP 2014)

January 22, 2014 | By |

If you are considering a career in the Ontario Public Service after graduation or at some point in the future, you should attend this session to get an inside understanding of the hiring process.

Whether you are looking for your first full-time role or you are an experienced professional, this session will demystify the process and provide valuable lessons from the front lines of the policy hiring process. This session will give you a chance to understand the hiring manager’s perspective when your application lands in a pile on their desk, when they are sitting across from you in an interview, and when they are making their hiring decision. Sean Court and Noah Zon will provide tips to help you succeed at each step of the hiring process, from interpreting job ads to crafting your application to what to expect in the interview.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

Sean Court
Sean has spent 10 years in the public service including spending time as a policy manager in three ministries. Sean leads the Social Housing Unit at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and holds an MA and a BA from McMaster University.
