Join us for an evening of conversation with Marshall Ganz, senior lecturer in public policy at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
Marshall Ganz is a senior lecturer in public policy at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University where he teaches, researches, and writes on leadership, organization, and strategy in social movements, civic associations, and politics. He has a depth of experience from labour organizing with the United Farm Workers and Caesar Chavez in the 1960s to guiding the grassroots political organizing for President Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. His work has been adapted and extended to work with the Sierra Club, New Organizing Institute, campaigns in climate change, immigration reform, health care practice, and much more.
The Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto, the School of Public POlicy & Governance, Samara Canada, Women’s College Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital invite you to an evening with Dr. Marshall Ganz – one of the greatest social movement organizers of our time – to learn more about the convergence of politics and health, the role of leadership and community engagement in social change and how to use public narrative as a powerful tool to support collective action. This talk is essential for any current and future leaders aspiring to make change in their community, country, profession, or other social movement organizing.
