On Friday, October 14 Professor Jason Brennan  will be speaking at the University of Toronto on his new book “Against Democracy“. In his talk, Professor Brennan will argue that democracy should be judged by its results – and the results are not good enough. This topic will spark a lively conversation and is especially relevant given the current campaign taking place in the United States.
This event is presented by the Institute for Liberal Studies and the Association of Political Science Students as part of their “Lunch and Learn Series”. A pizza lunch is included.

About the Speaker:

Jason Brennan (Ph.D., 2007, University of Arizona) is Robert J. and Elizabeth Flanagan Family Chair and Provost’s Distinguished Associate Professor of Strategy, Economics, Ethics, and Public Policy at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He specializes in politics, philosophy, and economics.

He is currently writing Global Justice as Global Freedom, with Bas van der Vossen, under contract with Oxford University Press. He is also co-editor, along with David Schmidtz and Bas Van der Vossen, of the forthcoming Routledge Handbook of Libertarianism.
