  • The SPPG Alumni Association, with the support of SPPG and the Policy and Innovation Initiative, has partnered with Civic Tech Toronto to deliver Hack nights every Tuesday in January.
You are invited to join us for Hack nights every Tuesday in January from 6:30-9:00 pm.

We are very much looking forward to partnering with such a great group and think it presents a great opportunity to expose the SPPG community to new tools and techniques to tackle policy challenges. We also hope that we can use these events to link Toronto’s exciting civic tech community to many of policymakers of today and tomorrow, as well as many of the great initiatives that the SPPG community is already involved in. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to get involved.

To find out more visit Civic Tech Toronto, here or register on Meetup: meetup.com/Civic-Tech-Toronto

Each event will feature a talk from a different speaker, deeply engaged in civic tech and policy development and include:

    • January 3rd: Brief Remarks from SPPG Acting Director Barry Goodwin
    • January 10th: Gabriel Eidelman, SPPG and Bianca Wylie, Open Data Insitute, Presenting on SPPG City Hall Task Force
    • January 17th: Jane Hilderman, Executive Director, Samara, SPPG Alumni
