Comparative Public Policy

October 8, 2000 | By |

Participants will see how Canada’s policy challenges compare with those in other advanced nations. They will also explore the promises and the pitfalls of drawing upon evidence from other nations to inform policy development in the Canadian context. Participants will gain practically relevant skills in the critical and constructive use of comparative evidence, and will learn what factors to consider in assessing the relevance of policy initiatives in other countries for Canada. Examples will be drawn from social policy, health policy and potentially other cases of interest to participants.

Dates offered: Arranged on a customized/client group basis.
