At the Crossroads: A Forum on Aboriginal Policy
January 17, 2014 | By Public Policy Admin |
Indigenous people in Canada have a unique relationship with the Crown and with non-Indigenous Canadians, grounded in Aboriginal and Treaty rights.
It is becoming increasingly important to understand the social and
political context of this relationship as governments at all levels face pressing policy challenges and opportunities.
This policy forum will provide participants with an opportunity to listen and learn from Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders as they share their perspectives. It aims to bring together students, public servants, and the public to engage in cross-cultural dialogue on the policy issues of today, promoting greater understanding of different perspectives, histories, and cultures.
