MPP Student Harry Orbach-Miller Appointed to the MAESD’s Minister’s Advisory Council of Students

November 22, 2017 | By |

Congratulations are in order for Harry Orbach-Miller, one of our MPP students who recently was appointed to the Minister’s Advisory Council of Students at the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development.

Orbach-Miller came to SPPG after a Bachelor of Arts at Western University, where he was awarded the Faculty of Science Leadership Award and the Key to University Students’ Council. He is also the recipient of an Ontario Volunteer Service Award.

Through this appointment, Orbach-Miller is able to pursue his passion for student and youth advocacy. He has now represented the perspectives of youth to all levels of Canadian government. On top of his MPP and his role at the MAESD, Orbach-Miller also serves as the Co-Chair for eCampusOntario’s Student Advisory Committee and is on CAMH’s National Youth Action Council.

Orbach-Miller says about this experience: “Serving on the Minister’s Advisory Council of Students is an incredible privilege and responsibility to represent the diverse perspectives of Ontario’s post-secondary students. Moreover, it has given me an opportunity to leverage the education I’ve receiving at SPPG to have a meaningful impact on a number of significant policy files that affect students on a daily basis.”

SPPG’s faculty and staff wish him a warm congratulations.
