Bio
Matthias is the director of innovation economics at MaRS Discovery District. Prior to moving to MaRS, he was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, in their economic practice. He has over 15 years of experience in empirical economic and statistical analysis working at think tanks, in academia and the public sector. He has lived and worked in Germany, the UK, India and Canada. Over the past 15 years, he has designed and delivered numerous workshops, lectures and presentations on matters of economic policy to a variety of audiences.

Matthias holds a PhD in Economics from the Johannes-Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany and a Master’s degree from Oxford University, United Kingdom.
