Two New SPPG Appointments

We are pleased to announce two new appointments in the School of Public Policy and Governance. Barry Goodwin has agreed to serve as Interim Director and he has also been appointed Associate Professor.  Prof. Garth Frazer has agreed to serve as Associate Director.

Please join us in welcoming Barry and Garth in these roles.

Barry Goodwin was most recently the OPS Visiting Fellow at SPPG. Previously, Barry served as Assistant Deputy Minister, Revenue Agencies Oversight, at Finance for roughly five years, during which he led significant reforms and oversaw the performance of Ontario’s two largest agencies, the LCBO and the OLG.  He has made a significant contribution to the Ontario and federal public services throughout his career, with senior assignments Industry Canada, Government and Consumer Services, and Consumer and Business Services, among others.

Garth Frazer is an Associate Professor of Public Policy and Business Economics. He undertakes research on growth and development of firms in Africa as well as international trade. His work has been published in a variety of leading journals of economics and public policies. He is a fixture at SPPG, teaching a core course in quantitative analysis and contributing to our broader intellectual environment.
