SPPG Professor David Pettinicchio writes an Op-Ed in The Washington Post on the gay rights movement and America’s debate on gun control

In this co-authored piece, Professor Pettinicchio argues that the LGBTQ movement might find success redefining the terms of America’s gun debate and the terrain of the struggle in the wake of the Orlando tragedy.
Professor Pettinicchio is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, joining the Department of Sociology in 2014 where he teaches courses in quantitative methods, social policy and political sociology. For the 2015-16 academic year Professor Pettinicchio will be teaching PPG1005H: The Social Context of Policy-Making at the School of Public Policy & Governance.
