Risk Analysis for Public Servants

Participants will gain a practical grounding in the varied elements of risk analysis and will apply their learning to a case study by assessing risk and integrating the assessment into policy analysis. Topics may cover areas such as climate change; terrorism; disease and pandemics; drugs and medical therapies; nuclear power; natural hazards; genetically modified organisms; pensions and savings; crime and punishment; and effluents, bioaccumulation, and the environment.
