Michael MacMillan, Samara’s Co-founder and Board Chair, announced that, effective June 15th, Jane Hilderman will be Executive Director and Kendall Anderson will be Managing Director of Samara Canada. They will be jointly responsible for directing the charity going forward.

Samara Canada is dedicated to reconnecting citizens to politics. Established as a charity in 2009, we have become Canada’s most trusted, non-partisan champion of increased civic engagement and a more positive public life.

Jane Hilderman has worked at Samara for almost four years, most recently as Research Director and, with Kendall, Acting Co-Executive Director, and in that time she has planned and executed Samara’s groundbreaking research as well as co-writing its research reports. Over the last year, she has been responsible for public and media appearances on Samara’s behalf. Jane received her Masters’ in public policy from the School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Toronto. She worked on Parliament Hill for both government and opposition benches through the longstanding Parliamentary Internship Programme.
