SPPG Alum Erin Riley-Oettl publishes article in Literary Review of Canada

Riley-Oettl’s article “Canada the Good – Myth and reality in Canadians’ involvement in African mining” is in the November 2015 publication of Literary Review of Canada.

Riley-Oettl reviews author Paula Butler’s book Colonial Extractions: Race and Canadian Mining in Contemporary Africa, in her recent article for the Literary Review of Canada (LRC).

Erin Riley-Oettl (MPP Class of 2011) is a lawyer from Nova Scotia living in Toronto who focuses on community and international development. She has worked in human rights law in Tanzania, regulation drafting in Nova Scotia, housing policy in Toronto and in Malawi, and program development research in Toronto. She currently volunteers as a research committee member for the Tanzania Centre for Research and Information on Pastoralism.
