Governor Martin O’Malley is a U.S. Democrat whose star is rapidly on the rise. He’s a current Governor, a former Mayor, and a national advocate for public education. There are even rumblings of a 2016 Presidential run.
Join us on November 25 for a special event that will feature Governor O’Malley in conversation with The Honourable Bob Rae, QC, PC, former Premier of Ontario. Tickets are free and open to the public.
About Martin O’Malley:
Martin O’Malley is currently serving the people of Maryland in his second term as Governor. During his time in office, Governor O’Malley has championed the lower-middle with investments in education, employment training, and raising the minimum wage.
Governor O’Malley served two terms as Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, and was appointed to the nation’s first-ever Council of Governors by President Obama in 2010. Prior to serving as Governor, O’Malley served as Mayor of the City of Baltimore. Between 1999 and 2007 his policies helped the people of Baltimore achieve the greatest crime reduction of America’s largest cities.
