The Gender and Public Policy Workshops Present Back to School: a Panel Discussion on Gender and Education Policy
Join us in hearing from a diverse panel of education policy experts and front-line workers in the K-12 school system. We will hear about a range of current issues in the school system such as single-sex curriculum, gender based violence in schools, and about the efforts to develop the first gender studies curriculum in the Ontario secondary school system.
This event will be moderated by Vasiliki Bednar, Action Canada Fellow and SPPG Alum 2010

- Dr. Douglas Gosse, PhD, General Editor, LGBTTIQQ2SA Stories of Pride, Courage and Social Justice in Canada & Professor, Schulich School of Education
- Dr. Caroline (Carly) Manion, Ph.D. Adjunct Professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Specializing in gender and education policy from a comparative and international perspective.
- Anne Marie Longpre, Teacher at West End Alternative and member of the Miss G Project for Equity in Education.
