Bio
Jeffrey G. Reitz is Professor of Sociology, R.F. Harney Professor of Ethnic, Immigration, and Pluralism Studies, and Director of the Collaborative Graduate Program in Ethnic and Pluralism Studies at the Munk School for Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto.

He is co-author of Multiculturalism and Social Cohesion: Potentials and Challenges of Diversity (Springer 2009) and has published recently in the International Migration Review, Ethnic and Racial Studies, and Social Science Research. His current comparative research examines the experience of Muslim immigration in France, Quebec and Canada, based on extensive quantitative data and new qualitative interviews, and is a research associate at l’École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris.

Professor Reitz holds a B.S. and Ph.D. degree from Columbia University, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
