Catherine L. Mah, MD FRCPC PhD is Assistant Professor of Health Policy in the Division of Community Health and Humanities in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University. She is also appointed to the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, and the Social and Epidemiological Research Department at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Dr. Mah leads a multidisciplinary program of research in the policy and practice of public health, with a particular interest in public health innovations in the food system. Her previous research examined immunization policymaking and governance. She has received funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and the Japan Foundation. Dr. Mah holds an MD from the University of Calgary, completed residency training at Memorial University, and is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Paediatrics. She received her PhD from the University of Toronto with postdoctoral fellowships in applied policy research with the School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Toronto, Kyoto University, and Toronto Public Health.
