Bio
Nadia Caidi is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences. Professor Caidi’s work on information control and the public’s right to know in times of crisis, particularly in the context of national security,has been awarded two three-year grants (2004-2007, 2007-2010) from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) in Canada. She is also involved in researching the information practices of vulnerable communities, including newcomers and immigrant groups, as well as Aboriginal communities in Northern Ontario. Professor Caidi holds an MST in Communication Studies from Universitツ Stendhal Grenoble 3, and an MLIS and a Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
