Background:
We are writing to share Regent Park: A Progress Report. The transformation of Toronto’s Regent Park has been ongoing for nearly a generation. This report details the revitalization of Regent Park highlighting the neighbourhood’s history, politics, community and evolution. In addition, the Regent Park Community Resource Library was created as a companion piece in which an extensive collection of reports, articles, videos and more are available for reference and research purposes.

These materials were produced through a research partnership between Spacing Magazine and the University of Toronto, and funded by the Metcalf Foundation. The project also received generous support from the MITACS Research Training Award, the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and the School of Cities.

We wish to thank the Regent Park residents, agency representatives, City of Toronto, TCHC, and development sector sources who generously provided feedback, insights and time over the course of several meetings and interviews since this project began in early 2019.
