Biography
Xiaodong Zhu is a professor of economics at the Department of Economics, University of Toronto and a special-term professor at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He is an editor of the China Journal of Economics and on the editorial board of China Economic Review, China Economic Quarterly and Annals of Economics and Finance. He has published many articles on fiscal policy, financial markets and growth. His current research focuses on understanding the sources of growth and economic structural changes both in China and across countries.
