Biography
John McAndrews is a Research Associate and Managing Director of the Policy, Elections, and Representation Lab (PEARL) at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. He holds a PhD and MA in political science from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University.
His research interests include the political behavior of citizens and elites, gender and politics, diversity and representation, and parliamentary politics. His work uses a range of methods — including survey and field experiments, observational data, and case studies. He has published in Legislative Studies Quarterly, Parliamentary Affairs, the Journal of Experimental Political Science, Political Research Quarterly, the Canadian Journal of Political Science, and as part of an Oxford University Press edited volume.
