Barry Goodwin

Biography

Barry Goodwin is Associate Professor in the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Prior to joining the Munk School, Barry served as Assistant Deputy Minister, Revenue Agencies Oversight, at Finance for roughly five years. Barry was with Industry Canada as the Regional Executive Director for Ontario, and was also ADM of Consumer Protection at the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. Barry has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, and has completed the Queen’s Executive Leadership Program, and the Institute for Corporate Directors program at Rotman. Barry’s work both at the Federal and Provincial levels has enabled him to develop a unique breadth and expertise in the fields of regulatory policy, economic development and public policy generally, which will be a tremendous asset to University of Toronto. His ability to build relationships, lead and engage staff and strong communications skills make him a terrific candidate to support the University of Toronto program.
