Biography

Marc Dupont is Managing Director, Government and Public Affairs at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Prior to this role, he led Government and Public Affairs functions at Methanex Corporation and DuPont Canada and was a Policy Advisor to the Canadian Minister for International Trade. Marc is a sessional instructor at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.

Marc is a lawyer and holds a B.A. in History/East-Asian Studies and a LL.B. from the Université de Montréal. He was a Fulbright Scholar and also holds an M.A. in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. A recipient of the Canada-China Scholarship, he also studied at the People’s University in Beijing. He is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Mandarin. His areas of specialty are government relations and global public affairs.
