Salam.

I’m here today to deliver a simple message: Canada stands with you.

We stand with the courageous activists inside Iran...with the dedicated Canadian diaspora outside Iran ...and with freedom-loving people everywhere who want a brighter future for your country.

We know Iranians have a deep yearning for freedom. In Farsi, it’s called Azaadi. A simple, but powerful word.

As Simin Behbani, the great Persian poet said, “...it takes a thousand years before a word, among the thousands of words, dies away in a language or changes its meaning.”

Our job then, is to make sure that Azaadi never dies from the Farsi language, or from the hearts of Iranians.

For those of you inside Iran right now, listening from somewhere safe...where the regime cannot suppress your curiosity...where it cannot control your conscience, or profit from your oppression...I want you to know that Canada stands with you.

I know this seems counterintuitive coming from a government that suspended relations with the regime last year.

But our decision to close the Canadian embassy in Tehran was not directed at the people of Iran.  It was not an attack on Shi’a Islam and its rich contribution to global civilization.

It was about the protection of our courageous men and women who were serving their country in peace.

We saw what the IRGC and Basij were doing to Iranians.

We saw the strengthening of a regressive clerical, military dictatorship.

As we condemned this regime’s actions, our diplomats’ lives were increasingly at risk.

We simply lost, what little faith we had, in this regime.

But we have never lost faith in the people of Iran. In fact, we want to expand our relations with Iranians, free from the regime’s filters.

Which is why we’ve gathered here today.

We gather to demonstrate that the bonds between peoples of distant places can grow stronger and more resolute...Bonds that tear down walls...Bonds that as we’ve seen before, pierce through the regime’s most elaborate firewalls.

Four years ago, the people of Iran showed tremendous courage and resolve.  Outraged by a stolen election that mocked their right to choose...frustrated by a broken economy that robbed them of their creativity and enterprise...millions of Iranians took to the streets.

They stood up to decades of brutal repression.

They demanded the right to determine their own future.

For weeks the world watched in awe, inspired by their bravery. Watching from afar our people held their breath...wondering if tyranny would fall again – as it eventually does.

As I look back, I confess that freedom-loving nations like Canada should have been more vocal in supporting this movement. We could have done more.

From our desktops, we did modest things to stand with you. But at the end of the day, while we may have changed the face of Twitter avatars, you changed the face of freedom.

Yes, the Green Movement had its first beat in Iran. But its pulse was felt the world over.

It provided hope for those who suffered under oppressive regimes.

It gave them a model to follow.

And follow, they did.

Now, they’re changing the face of places that have suffocated at the hands of dictators and strongmen.

The kind of strongmen that took the life of Neda Agha-Soltan – an innocent, defenseless young woman, brutally shot dead by the Basij. As her last moments were uploaded to YouTube, the world watched in horror.

It was disgusting. Abhorrent. And it revealed what the regime fears most: not the West. Not liberal democracies. No. The regime fears the courageous people of Iran.

Under the burden of escalating repression, the regime is forcing activists to leave.  As they do, others take their place, subjected to the full force of this regime’s anger.

They can take solace, knowing that Iranian democratic voices exist outside of Iran.

They can take comfort, knowing that Iran’s democratic voices have begun the hard, patient work of bringing about a free and open society in Iran.

On this, we all agree: the people of Iran deserve free and fair elections.

Not another version of the Ayatollah Khamenei’s never-ending shell game of presidential puppets.

Not the rise of a regressive clerical military dictatorship.

But robust elections which take power out of the hands of puppet masters and place it in your hands, the hands of the people.

And so, I say to the Supreme Leader: rather than waste your precious resources trying to scramble this video feed...or trying to shut down the people’s websites...or trying to subject your people to the oppressive veil of tyranny...open up.

Listen to the Iranian people.

Roll back the apparatus of fear.

Allow dissenting voices.

Embrace freedom of expression.

Expand the pursuit of knowledge.

Unshackle the people.

End your tyranny.

Imagine.

Imagine an Iran with a political culture based on inclusiveness and freedom.

Imagine an Iran where people are free to advocate a point of view and have the courage to test them against opposing views.

Imagine an Iran that affords the strongest protections for freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, freedom of assembly, the rule of law.

Imagine an Iran that has rigorous checks and balances against abuse of power and corruption...where the rules are the same for every person.

Imagine an Iran where government protects people’s lives...where government does not silence, imprison and murder ethnic, religious and cultural minorities for their beliefs.

Imagine democracy. Just imagine it.

The people of Iran have. And they have imagined it because they want what the world wants: prosperity and freedom.

And we know the historical truth about democracies: they are far less likely to go to war with one another.  And when a country is not at war, it prospers.

This is the test against which Iranians will measure the regime.

To get there, I call on the international community and fellow foreign ministers to join me in taking a stronger stand in support of the Iranian people.

We can do so in three ways.

The first is by calling on the regime to address the demands and hopes of the Iranian people ahead of next month’s elections. To the regime listening to us now, here’s how you can respond to what your own people have asked for:

  • Lift censorship of the Internet and other media.
  • Release political prisoners.
  • Allow election observers.
  • Let candidates connect with the people freely.

The second way the international community can take a stronger stand in support of the Iranian people is to reach out to Iranian activists, as we’re doing today:

  • Engage these activists directly, even as we isolate the regime.
  • Give them the attention and dignity they deserve as the democratic voices of a great country with a long and proud history.
  • Protect and encourage activists inside Iran.
  • Find ways to protect dissenting voices...and those who have the courage to tell the truth about the Basij...about IRGC assets...and about the regressive clerical tyranny that rules Iran today.
  • Demonstrate, with political support, that these views are legitimate.

And the third way we can stand with the people of Iran is to support human rights defenders who take such tremendous personal risks in trying to protect others.

  • We should invest in them...
  • Make sure the regime knows that we’re in regular contact with them...
  • Make them famous...
  • And wedge this regime against its own rhetoric.

I recognize that those of you seeking to expand democratic space inside Iran are running the greatest risk.

I am committing to you – to all of Iran’s democratic voices – that you have a friend in Canada.

And know that the tensions that exist between the Islamic Republic and the International Community will cease once Iran embraces human rights and democracy.

Until that day comes, the international community will do what it must to protect itself from the current regime.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper and I are absolutely resolute in this view: the Ayatollah Khamenei regime remains the greatest threat to international peace and security in the world today.

That’s why we listed the Iranian regime as a state sponsor of terrorism...

Why we made the IRGC Qods Force and Hezbollah terrorist entities in Canadian law...

And why we have implemented tough economic sanctions.

The world must target the IRGC’s assets, and expose the wealth they’ve been amassing at the expense of the people.

We are taking every effort to halt the reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons capabilities while maintaining exemptions that reduce the impact on the Iranian people.

The regime claims that international alarm over its nuclear program is a “cover for sanctions.”  I can promise you that our grave concern with the regime’s nuclear program is absolutely sincere. And so are the efforts of the international community.

President Obama has extended his hand, using every diplomatic tool at his disposal to get the regime to reverse course.

Catherine Ashton and the P5+1 have patiently worked with Iran in good faith.

We all want a peaceful resolution to this crisis.

And yet for each new offer of compromise, the regime responds with escalation and provocation...with false promises and empty gestures.

I refuse to believe that the clerical military dictatorship of Ayatollah Khamenei, his enforcers in the IRGC and Basij, or his agents in Hezbollah, represents the future of Iran.

The regime is hollow.  It does not have the depth, the intellect, the humanity, or the humility to bring about a better future for its people.

Let me be clear: we understand the vast system of domestic repression and human rights abuses of Ayatollah Khamenei’s regime.  We bear witness to the brutal tyranny run by the Basij and the IRGC, who rape and torture the Iranian people.

I believe the Iranian people want change.  Whether change comes quickly or gradually, the Iranian people will not forever tolerate the hypocrisy and corruption of the regime; the wanton waste of its resources; and the transformation of a proud nation into a pariah.

Today is not about Canada, or Canadian policy.  You may agree with our policies. You may take issue with them. That’s quite alright. This is a democracy after all.

But this Global Dialogue is about you, the people of Iran, and the future that should await you in a free and open society.

You will hear from a wide range of voices today and tomorrow – sharply differing views on the future of Iran and the choices that confront it.

Some of these will be heated debates. Others might get testy.  Don’t let that discourage you. You should watch Question Period in the Canadian Parliament!

Heated debate is healthy. Democracy would be useless if we didn’t have our disagreements.

What you’ll hear in the next two days is what should be openly spoken in Iran.

We know this happens in the courtyards of mosques and at markets...in farmers’ homes and beauty salons... in the kitchens of Iranian families and at their offices.

These conversations are happening on the street just as readily as they are happening in the cloud...in Google Hangouts...on Twitter...and on Facebook.

The people mock “Halal” Internet for the ridiculous proposition that it is.

I’ll conclude with this message to Iranians – on the street and in the cloud – and especially to those who suffer in dark prison cells under the lashings of the Basij:

One day, Iran will have the institutions that allow its citizens to debate and to determine their future in freedom.

One day, the Iranian people will enjoy full access to freedom and opportunity.

One day, full integration into the global trading system will replace economic sanctions.

One day, Iran will take its rightful place in international affairs as a leading and respected regional power.

From the ashes of tyranny, Iran and Iranians will rise as a prosperous and free society.

Iranians are working each and every day to bring that future ever closer.

The courage shown by Iranians who choose human dignity over the regime’s cynical propaganda brings that future ever closer.

Every free and open contact – online or in person – that pushes back the walls of a closed society, brings that bright future closer.

Today, tomorrow and in the road ahead, I wish you all great success in your pursuit of freedom, for azaadi.

من امروز این جا هستم تا پیامی ساده را برسانم: کانادا درکنار شما می ایستد.

ما در کنار فعالین شجاع داخل ایران می ایستیم... کنارایرانیان کانادایی دل سوز خارج از ایران ... کنار مردمان عاشق آزادی که در همه جا خواهان ساختن آینده ای روشن تر برای کشورتان هستید.

به اشتیاق عمیق به آزادی در بین ایرانیان داخل ایران واقف ایم. واژه ی آزادی در زبان فارسی واژه ای ساده ولی قدرتمند است.

همان طور که سیمین بهبهانی، شاعر بزرگ معاصر ایران، بیان میکند: ” در میان هزاران واژه ، هزاران سال زمان میبرد تا یک واژه در یک زبان محو شود  یا تغییر معنی دهد.”

پس وظیفه ی ما این است که مطمئن شویم که آزادی هیچ گاه از زبان فارسی، یا از قلب ایرانیان محو نخواهد شد.

برای آنانی که هم الان در ایران هستند، از جایی امن گوش میکنید... جایی که حکومت ننواند بر کنج کاویتان سرپوش گذارد ... جایی که نتواند هشیاریتان را کنترل کند، یا از مظلومیت شما بهره ببرد، میخواهم بدانید که کانادا در کنار شما می ایستد.

میدانم که از دولتی که روابط خود را با حکومت  سال پیش به حالت تعلیق درآورد امری دور از انتظار به نظر میرسد.

ولی تصمیم ما برای بستن سفارت کانادا در تهران متوجه مردم ایران نبود. حمله به اسلام شیعی و مشارکت غنی آن در تمدن جهانی نبود.

اقدام ما در حمایت از مردان و زنان شجاعی بود که در راه صلح کمر به خدمت کشورشان بستند.

 شاهد بودیم که سپاه پاسداران و بسیج چه بر سر ایرانیان میاوردند.

شاهد تقویت دیکتاتوری مرتجع روحانی- نظامی بودیم.

همین که اقدامات حکومت را محکوم کردیم. زندگی دیپلماتهایمان بیش تر از پیش در معرض خطر افتاد.

ما به سادگی آن اعتماد کمی را هم که به حکومت داشتیم از دست دادیم

ولی هرگزاعتمادمان را به مردم ایران از دست نداده ایم. در واقع، خواهان آن ایم که  روابط خود را با ایرانیان، فارغ از فیلترهای حکومت، گسترش دهیم.

 به همین دلیل امروز این جا گرد هم آمدیم.

گرد هم آمدیم تا نشان دهیم که پیوندهای میان مردمانی که در فواصل دور از هم هستند میتوانند محکم تر و سر سختانه تر رشد کنند ... پیوندهایی که دیوارها را فرو میریزند ... پیوندهایی که ما پیش از این دیده ایم، در محکم ترین دیوارها ی بلاعبور حکومت رخنه میکنند.

چهار سال پیش مردم ایران شهامتی عظیم نشان دادند و عزم خود را جزم کردند. میلیونها تن، خشمگین از انتخابات دزدیده شده ای که حقشان را در انتخاب بی اعتبار کرد ... نومید از اقتصاد ورشکسته ای که آنها را از خلاقیت و تهور محروم کرد به خیابانها ریختند.

در مقابل چندین دهه فشار بی رحمانه ایستادند.

 آنها خواهان حق تعیین آینده ی خود  شدند.

برای هفته ها دنیا با احترام تماشا کرد. از این همه  شهامت به وجد آمد. مردم ما از دور تماشا و نفس در سینه حبس کردند... شگفت زده که آیا ظالم دوباره سرنگون شود – هما ن طور که قطعاٌ اتفاق میفتد.

وقتی به پشت سر نگاه میکنم، اعتراف میکنم که ملل آزادی خواهی چون کانادا میبایست در حمایت از این جنبش صریح تر میبود. ما میتوانستیم بیش ازاینها انجام دهیم.

 از صفحات رایانه هایمان، معمولی ترین چیزها را انجام دادیم تا در کنار شما بایستیم. ولی سرانجام، زمانی که ما توانستیم چهره ی آواتارهای توییتر را تغییر دهیم، شما چهره ی آزادی را تغییر دادید.

بله، جنبش سبزنخستین تپش خود را در ایران داشت. ولی ضرب آهنگ آن در سراسر جهان طنین افکند.

 برای کسانی که از حکومتهای ستمگر به ستوه آمدندد امید ایجاد کرد.

به آنها الگویی داد تا آن را دنبال کنند.

و دنبال کردند.

اکنون، آنها چهره ی جاهایی را تغییر میدهند که در دستان دیکتاتورها و خودکامگان در خاموشی رفته اند.

این خودکامگانی که زندگی ندا آقا سلطان،  زن جوان بی گناه بی دفاعی را گرفتند که وحشیانه توسط بسیج  با گلوله کشته شد. همان طور که  آخرین لحظات زندگیش در یوتیوب بارگذاری شد دنیا با وحشت به تماشا نشست.

شرم آور بود. نفرت آور بود. و آشکار کرد که حکومت بیش از همه نه از غرب ، نه از دموکراسیهای آزادیخواه، نه، که ازمردم شجاع ایران واهمه دارد.

تحت این فشار فزاینده ، حکومت فعالین را مجبور به ترک کشور میکند.  همان طور که این فعالین ایران را ترک میکنند، دیگران جای آنها را میگیرند، که در معرض خشم حکومت با تمام توان قرار میگیرند.

فعالین میتوانند نفسی راحت بکشند، چون میدانند که صداهای دموکراسی خواهان ایران در خارج از ایران حضور دارد.

میتوانند آرام باشند، چون میدانند که صداهای دموکراسی خواهان ایران کاری سخت و صبورانه را برای به ارمغان آوردن جامعه ی آزاد و باز به ایران آغاز کرده است.

بر سر این نکته همه با هم توافق داریم: مردم  ایران شایسته ی انتخاباتی آزاد و عادلانه هستند.

 نه نسخه ی دیگر موش و گربه بازی پایان ناپذیر آیت الله خامنه ای با نامزدهای دست نشانده اش.

نه ظهور دیکتاتوری روحانی نظامی.

بلکه انتخاباتی سالم که قدرت را از دست دست نشانده های سردمداران بیرون آورد و در دستان شما، در دستان مردم بگذارد.

و هم چنین، به مقام معظم رهبری میگویم: به جای هدر دادن منابع ذیقیمت خود در تلاش برای بر هم زدن سایت ویدئویی ...  یا تلاش برای بستن تارنماهای مردم ...  یا تلاش برای انداختن تور مستبدانه ی خودکامگی بر سر مردم ...  فضا را باز کن.

به ایرانیان گوش بده.

بساط رعب و ترس را جمع کن.

به صدای مخالفان میدان بده.

آزادی بیان را با آغوش باز بپذیر.

جست جوی دانش را گسترش بده.

 زنجیر را از دست مردم باز کن.

به ستمگری خود پایان بده.

تصور کنید.

تصور کنید ایرانی با فرهنگ سیاسی برمبنای مشارکت همگانی و آزادی.

تصور کنید ایرانی که در آن مردم آزاد باشند تا از دیدگاه خود دفاع کنند و شجاعت داشته باشند که در مقابل دیدگاههای مخالف خود را بیازمایند.

تصور کنید ایرانی که به ضرس قاطع از آزادی بیان، آزادی آگاهی، آزادی اجتماعات، حکومت قانون پشتیبانی کند.

تصور کنید ایرانی که موانع و توازنهای قاطعی علیه سوء استفاده از قدرت و فساد داشته باشد ...  جایی که قوانین برای همه یک سان باشد

تصور کنید ایرانی را که در آن دولت از زندگی مردم حمایت میکند ...  جایی که دولت اقلیتهای قومی، مذهبی، فرهنگی به خاطر عقایدشان ساکت نمیکند، زندانی نمیکند، و نمیکشد. .

دموکراسی را  تصور کنید. تنها آن را تصور کنید.

مردم ایران دارند و تصور کرده اند زیرا همان چیزی را میخواهند که دنیا میخواهد: پیش رفت و آزادی.

و ما حقیقت تاریخی درباره ی حکومتهای مردم سالار را میشناسیم: آنها هر چه کم تر به سمت جنگ با یک دیگر میروند. و وقتی کشوری در جنگ نباشد، پیش رفت میکند.

این همان آزمایشی است که ایرانیان با آن حکومت را میسنجند.

برای رسیدن به این مرحله ، من از جامعه ی بین الملل و وزرای خارجه  درخواست میکنم که به من ملحق شوند و در حمایت از مردم ایران قاطعانه تر موضع بگیرند.

ما میتوانیم سه راه در پیش گیریم:

نخست از حکومت بخواهیم  به تقاضاها و امیدهای مردم ایران پیشا پیش انتخابات ماه آینده توجه کند.  حکومت اکنون به ما گوش دهد، تاهمین جا ببینیم چگونه شما میتوانید به آن چه مردم خودتان از شما میخواهند پاسخ میدهید:

  • سانسور اینترنت و دیگر رسانه ها را بردارید
  • زندانیان سیاسی را آزاد کنید
  • ناظران انتخاباتی بگذارید
  • بگذارید نامزدها با مردم آزادانه ارتباط داشته باشند

دومین راه که جامعه ی بین الملل میتواند قاطعانه تر در حمایت از مردم ایران موضع گیری کند به سراغ فعالین ایرانی برود، همان کاری که ما امروز انجام میدهیم:

  • آنها را به صحنه بیاورید همان گونه که حکومت را به انزوا میکشیم.
  • به آنها توجه کنید و همان گونه احترام گذارید که به صداهای دموکراسی خواهان کشورهای بزرگ با تاریخ طولانی و غرور آفرین.
  • فعالین داخل ایران را حمایت و تشویق کنید.
  • راههایی را بیابید تا از مخالفین  ... و از کسانی پشیتبانی کنید که شجاعت گفتن حقایق درباره ی بسیج ... درباره ی داراییهای سپاه پاسداران ... و درباره ی ستمگری فزاینده ی روحانیون را که امروز بر ایران حکومت میکنند دارند
  • با حمایت سیاسی نشان دهید که این صداها برحق و مشروع هستند.

و راه سومی که میتوانیم در کنار مردم ایران بایستیم حمایت از مدافعان حقوق بشر است که چنان خطر شخصی عظیمی را در تلاش برای حمایت از دیگران به جان خریدند.

  • باید روی آنان سرمایه گذاری کنیم...
  • مطمئن شویم که حکومت میداند که ما در تماس مستمر با ایشان هستیم....
  • آنها را بلند آوازه کنیم
  • با همان ادبیات خود حکومت او را گیر بیندازیم.

اذعان میکنم که از شماها کسانی که در صدد گسترش صدای دموکراسی خواهان در درون ایران هستند خطر بسیار بزرگی را در پیش رو دارند.

من در مقابل شما – تمام صداهای دموکراسی خواه ایران – تعهد میکنم که کانادا دوستدار شما است.

و میدانم که تنشهای میان جمهوری اسلامی و جامعه ی بین الملل به محض آن که ایران حقوق بشر و دموکراسی را با آغوش باز بپذیرد از میان میرود.

تا که آن روز بیاید، جامعه ی بین الملل همان کاری را انجام خواهد داد که باید از خود در مقابل حکومت کنونی حمایت کند. نخست وزیر، استفن هارپر و من در این دیدگاه با هم قاطعانه هم عقیده ایم که حکومت آیت الله خامنه ای همچنان بزرگ ترین تهدید برای صلح و امنیت بین المللی دردنیای امروز است.

به همین دلیل ما حکومت ایران را در فهرست حامیان دولتی تروریسم قرار دادیم...

به همین دلیل سپاه پاسداران، نیروی قدس و حزب الله را در قانون کانادا جزو نیروهای تروریستی به شمار آوردیم.

و به همین دلیل تحریمهای اقتصادی سختی را اعمال کرده ایم .

دنیا باید داراییهای سپاه پاسداران را هدف قرار دهد، و ثروتی را که به هزینه ی مردم جمع کرده اند برملا کند.

ما تمام تلاش خود را میکنیم تا پی گیری بی پروای سلاحهای اتمی را متوقف کنیم،  در عین حال معافیتهایی را برای کاهش فشار بر مردم ایران حفظ میکنیم.

حکومت ادعا میکند که هشدار بین المللی درباره ی برنامه ی هسته ای” پوششی  برای تحریمها ” است . من میتوانم به شما قول بدهم که نگرانی عمیق ما درباره ی برنامه ی اتمی حکومت و نیز تلاشهای جامعه ی بین الملل کاملاٌ صادقانه است.

آقای اوباما دست دوستی را دراز کرد، از تمام ابزارهای دیپلماتیک در حد امکاناتش بهره جست تا حکومت تغییر جهت دهد.

کاترین اشتون و گروه ٥ + ١ صبورانه با ایران با خوش نیتی کار کردند.

ما همه به دنبال راه حلی صلح طلب برای این بحران هستیم.

و هنوز در مقابل ارائه ی هر توافق جدیدی،  حکومت با افزایش تنش و اعمال تحریک آمیز ... با وعده های دروغین و ژستهای بی معنی پاسخ میدهد.

باور ندارم که دیکتاتوری روحانی نظامی آیت الله خامنه ای، نیروهایش در سپاه پاسداران و بسیج، یا عواملش در حزب الله، نمایندگان آینده ی ایران باشند.

این حکومت طبل تو خالی است. نه عمق دارد، نه خردمندی، نه انسانیت ، یا تواضع به آوردن آینده ای بهتر برای مردم خود.

بگذارید صریح باشم. ما دستگاه وسیع فشار داخلی و سوء استفاده از حقوق بشر را در حکومت آیت الله خامنه ای میفهمیم. ما شاهد استبداد وحشیانه ای هستیم که توسط سپاه پاسداران و بسیج اداره میشود، آنها به مردم ایران تجاوز میکنند و آنها را شکنجه میکنند.

اعتقاد دارم که مردم ایران خواهان تغییر اند. این تغییر چه سریع رخ دهد چه به تدریج، مردم ایران تاب ریاکاری و فساد حکومت، هدر روی بیهوده ی منابع، و تبدیل غرور ملت به طرد شدگی را تا ابد نخواهند داشت.

امروز درباره ی کانادا یا سیاست گذاریهای کانادا نیست. شاید با سیاستهای ما موافق باشید. شاید با آنها مشکل داشته باشید. این کاملاٌ درست است.  این خود به هر حال دموکراسی است.

ولی گفت گوی جهانی واقعاٌ درباره ی شما، مردم ایران است، و آینده ای که دریک جامعه ی آزاد و باز انتظار شما را میکشد.

به طیف وسیعی از صداهای متنوع امروز و فردا گوش خواهید کرد – دیدگاههای بس متفاوت درباره ی آینده ی ایران و انتخابهای پیش روی ایران.

برخی از مناظرات داغ خواهد بود. شاید برخی سلیقه ای باشند. نگذارید که این مناظرات شما را دل سرد کند. باید نشست پرسش و پاسخ را در مجلس کانادا تماشا کنید!

مناظره ی داغ  امری عادی است. دموکراسی که با عدم توافق هم راه نباشد بی فایده خواهد بود.

آن چه شما در عرض این دوروز خواهید شنید باید به طور علنی در ایران درباره ی آن صحبت شود.

میدانیم که در صحن مساجد و یا در بازار ... در خانه های کشاورزان و آرایشگاهها .... در آشپزخانه ی خانواده های ایرانی و در ادارات اتفاق میفتد.

این مکالمات در سطح خیابان درست همان قدر واقعاٌ رخ میدهد که در فضای مجازی ... در گپها در گوگل... در توییتر ... و در فیس بوک اتفاق میفتد.

مردم اصطلاح اینترنت “حلال” را به خاطر طرح موضوعی مضحک  به سخره میگیرند.

پیامم را خطاب به ایرانیان – در صحن خیابان یا در صحن مجازی – و به خصوص با آنانی که در سلولهای تاریک زندان زیر شلاقهای بسیج هستند به  پایان میبرم.

 روزی ایران نهادهایی خواهد داشت که به شهروندانش امکان میدهد تا با هم مناظره و آینده ی خود را در آزادی تعیین کنند.

روزی، ایرانیان ازدست رسی به آزادی کامل و فرصتها بهره مند خواهند شد

 روزی، الحاق کامل به نظام تجارت جهانی جایگزین تحریمهای اقتصادی خواهد شد.

روزی، ایران جایگاه برحق خود را در امور بین الملل به عنوان  قدرت رهبری کننده و مورد احترام منطقه به دست خواهد آورد.

 از خاکسترهای خودکامگان، ایران و ایرانیان به عنوان جامعه ای آزاد و موفق سر برخواهد آورد.

هر روز تک تک ایرانیان کار میکنند تا آینده ای همواره نزدیک تر را به ارمغان آورند.

شجاعتی که ایرانیان نشان میدهند، همانانی که شرافت بشری را بر تبلیغات بدبینانه ی حکومت انتخاب میکنند آینده ای همواره روشن را نوید میدهد.

هر تماس آزاد و باز – اعم از آنلاین یا به طور شخصی – که دیوارهای تردید جامعه ی بسته را به عقب براند نوید بخش آینده ای روشن است.

امروز، فردا و در جاده ای در پیش رو، بزرگ ترین موفقیتها را در جست جوی آزادی برای همه ی شما آرزو میکنم. متشکر ام.
