TORONTO, ON – Today, the Canada Centre for Global Security Studies at the Munk School of Global Affairs and the SecDev Group announced details of their conference “Securing the Cyber Commons: A Global Dialogue” taking place in Toronto on March 27-28, sponsored by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and Google.

The dialogue includes an influential mix of global leaders from governments, civil society, academia and private enterprise to participate in a facilitated conversation about the challenges of securing cyberspace, protecting human rights, and preserving cyberspace an open commons.

Featured speakers/panelists include: Evgeny Morozov, author of the recently released, highly acclaimed book titled “The Net Delusion: The Dark Side of Internet Freedom”, Jonathan Zittrain, Professor of Law at Harvard University and Co-founder of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society. journalist Misha Glenny, author of “McMafia” and Ron Deibert (Director, Citizen Lab) and Rafal Rohozinski (SecDev Group), co-authors of the Tracking Ghostnet and Shadows cyber-espionage reports.
