Dylan Clark is a Sessional Lecturer at the Trudeau Centre and Asian Institute, and teaches PCJ362H: Service Learning Placement. 


Q: What is your PCJ362H course about?

A: Service-learning is course built to give students a chance to on solving key problems for a local NGO. Working on a team of three, students learn skills in project management, leadership, and team-building. We hope that students are able to apply and extend their PCJ education as they contribute to positive change-making for a valuable cause.

Q: What are your research interests?
A: Reciprocity, valuation, ideology; with enduring interests in Indonesia, youth, and water.

Q: Do you have any tips or words of advice for PCJ students?
A: Learn to see yourself as the future of Canada, the future of the world. You, yes *you*, are the ones who will bring compassion, intelligence, and vision to your workplaces, families, and communities. Slay the zombie ideologies of the 20th century: nationalism, racism, neoliberalism, and national security. You have the moral imperative–and the abilities–to build a better world for all.

Q: What is something all your students should know about you? 
A: I’m a proud papa, a passionate mountain biker, and I can make a killer yemissir wot.
