Biography

Nidhi Panwar is a PhD student pursuing a collaborative program in Political Science and South Asian Studies at the University of Toronto. Her research interests focus on security issues in South Asia, specifically the conceptualization of India’s security and terrorism doctrine in the age of Hindu nationalism and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s rising populism. She is a Trudeau Fellow in Peace, Conflict and Justice, a Junior Fellow at Massey College and a recipient of the Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship to honor Nelson Mandela. Nidhi has completed a MA in Political Science from the University of Calgary and a MA in International Studies from Simon Fraser University.
