Sydney Narciso Wilson is a fourth-year PCJ student who recently received the Award for Scholarly Achievement in the Area of Gender-Based Violence from the University of Toronto. ⁣⠀

Wilson’s undergraduate research has focused on understanding how colonial state violence has affected the individual experiences of women, especially Indigenous women, by creating an environment where violence against women is normalized and justified.⁣ Her research was supported by PCJ’s Terry Gardner Scholarship and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship.
