The bells ring noon and I walk slowly across the pavement back to Innis residence.  There is no snow.  The ground is cold and dry; the air hurts to breathe in my nostrils.  My hands are in my jacket pockets.  I feel like the day is over, but some of my friends haven’t even woken up yet.

It’s not that big of a deal, but I am not really sure what to feel.  We lost.

The global health group’s solution was chosen as the winner.  It was well thought out, simple and scalable to many different countries.  It did have the highest budget out of all the solutions, but I suspect it is the most realistic budget, which is why it was chosen.  I would like to know what was the problem with our solution: is it not scalable enough?  Too hard to do?  Not convincing enough?

I want to improve our solution and actually implement it.  I realize that it may take a lot of work, but I still want to do it.  Prof. Kramarz said, “you can implement anything you want,” and that gives me quite a bit of inspiration.  Arthur and Jiayi are with me in continuing the solution.  We have decided to enter the Shell 360 contest and we will take this idea one step further.
