You can probably tell by now that Munk One is solution-oriented. Innovation is a common theme in the course seminars. In class, we discuss poverty alleviation, managing public goods, and a host of challenging issues. In the beginning, I found it daunting. I didn’t know how to go about problem-solving. Luckily, the program does a great job of breaking down that process. Both seminars introduce students to the world of innovation. We learn about balancing stakeholder interests and examine real-world models of innovation. Through labs and case competitions, we attempt to address global problems. This year, our cohort participated in two case competitions and many in-class simulations. I enjoyed these opportunity to apply what I learned from the seminars and readings.
