As the fall semester draws to a close, I can’t help but look back to September.  I was incredibly nervous then, especially about the rigors of university work.  Fast-forward a couple of months and I’ve successfully completed my first semester.  In retrospect, I feel that Munk One helped prepare me for the demands of U of T.

In MUN105, I improved my writing and critical thinking abilities through challenging assignments. I learned the importance of narrowing the scope of a research question and the value of the research process.  I was able to apply these skills in written assignments for my other courses.  Through MUN105, I experienced a level of small-group learning and teamwork not available to most first year students.  I enjoyed the opportunity to connect with my professor and classmates through lectures, socials, and events.  These interactions have helped me become more comfortable in tutorials and small-group situations in my other courses.

I’ll keep you posted with information about MUN101 and MUN102 this term.  I’m looking forward to more class discussions and engaging course work in the New Year!
