After a week of intensive classes in the Technopreneurship Centre in Nanyang, I decided to take a break and went out sightseeing today with my Singaporean classmates. They brought me around to the food centre and flea markets to look for some cheap local food and traditional handicrafts, and I was really impressed with everything!

My most overwhelming experience of the day was at the bus stops. No matter the time or place, there were always long queues at the bus stops. According to the bus schedules, most buses come every 10 minutes and they usually come on time. Queuing up all the time was pretty annoying to tourists, but most Singaporeans have already got used to it.

So what’s the reason? My Singaporean friends have given me a hint: Think about why there’s barely a traffic jam in Singapore! I’m going to figure that out in my next blog!

P.S. Friedrich Hayek must be wondering: Do we really need these yellow lines to get people to queue up?
