Hey future Munk One students!

I know many of you are in the process of applying for the Munk One program. If you haven’t read the UofT News article, I highly recommend it. The article is a nice introduction to the Munk One program.

I wanted to touch on an important point Professor Kramarz mentions in the article. She highlights the range of disciplines represented in the 2014-2015 cohort. I believe this diversity is a defining feature of Munk One. Each student brings insights from other program to tackle the big questions posed in class. I am pursuing a social science/humanities degree. When it comes to class, the perspectives and opinions I present are coloured by these two streams. What I appreciate most about Munk One is being exposed to solutions I would have never considered. My fellow classmates are interested in technology, health studies, commerce, and more. It is this range of disciplines that make Munk One an interdisciplinary learning experience. It also keeps class lively, which you will soon discover for yourselves!
