MGA / MBA Program

The combined MGA/MBA program provides students with an opportunity to integrate a truly international approach and perspective into their study of business and bring a business perspective to the study of global affairs.

The combined MGA/MBA program provides students with an opportunity to integrate a truly international approach and perspective into their study of business and bring a business perspective to the study of global affairs.

Application

IMPORTANT: Applications to the combined program are made separately to the Munk School of Global Affairs MGA program and the Rotman School of Management MBA program:

  1. The Rotman School of Management-Applications are ongoing. Please visit the Rotman website for more information.
  2. Munk School of Global Affairs. Applications for fall 2021 are due January 20, 2022. Please see admissions for more information.

Students must meet the application requirements for both programs in order to be considered for the combined program. Please note the professional experience requirement for the MBA program will be waived students interested in applying to the combined MGA/MBA program.

NEW: MGA/MBA students may use either the GMAT or GRE to apply to the combined program. The Rotman School of Management now accepts GRE scores for applications to the MBA program.

Structure of the MGA/MBA Program

Year 1- Students are enrolled as full-time MGA students. Click here to view Year 1 courses.

Summer between Year 1 and 2- Global Internship (required).

Year 2- Students are enrolled as full-time MBA students. Click here to view MBA courses.

Year 3- Students are enrolled as full-time MBA students and part-time MGA students.

Fees and Funding

Students enrolled in Year 1 of the combined program will be required to pay the standard first year fees for the MGA program. They will pay MBA fees for Year 2 and 3 of the program.

During years 2 and 3 of the combined program, students will be entitled to receive Rotman scholarships, bursaries, and other forms of financial assistance. Students will not be eligible in their 1st year as they will be in the MGA program. When MGA students are in their MGA only year (Year 1) they will be eligible for MGA financial aid as well as OGS and SSHRC. Applications to OGS and SSHRC should be made the year before they start the combined program.
