The two-year Master of Arts program at the Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies gives students the opportunity to do specialized advanced graduate course work drawing on more than fifteen departments, centres, and institutes across the University of Toronto.

MA students in European and Russian Affairs:

  • study at Canada’s leading research university
  • work with outstanding faculty in a wide range of disciplines with a research specialization on Europe, Russia, and Eurasia
  • enrich themselves via academic programs of the Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies and the Munk School of Global Affairs, including specialized graduate workshops and courses offered by visiting professors

The MA is a six full-credit program with a required regional research/study abroad component completed over two years of full time study.

Graduates of the University of Toronto’s Master of Arts program in European and Russian Affairs go on to positions in international civil service, government service, private sector organizations dealing with the region, and non-governmental organizations.
