On January 6, 2021, a mob of rioters supporting U.S. President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election. John Scott-Railton, a senior researcher at the Munk School’s Citizen Lab, has been working with American journalist Ronan Farrow to identify suspects in the event.
