Master of European and Russian Affairs

Study at the Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies

Recognized as one of the best of its kind, the Master of Arts in European and Russian Affairs program at the Munk School’s Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies (CERES) offers students the opportunity to pursue a comprehensive, rigorous and hands-on degree. Drawing upon the expertise of the country’s largest group of faculty experts on the region from across more than ten U of T departments, students are supported as they build individual projects and initiatives; undertake internships and exchanges in their region of interest; pursue joint degree in law, Jewish Studies or Ethnic and Pluralism Studies, and access an unparalleled series of seminars and conferences and one of the best library collections on the region in North America.

“As a grad student at CERES, I had a wealth of opportunities afforded to me and the support to help me take advantage of them. In two years, I’ve not only finished my master’s degree but have also learned to speak Russian, lived in Moscow, worked in Brussels, and conducted research in Athens. With this knowledge and experience, I am excited and ready to start a career with the federal government”
