Prof. Jaroslav Skira is Associate Professor of Historical Theology, and Graduate Director at Regis College (in the University of Toronto). He has taught in various capacities at St. Michael’s College (Toronto), the Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies (St. Paul University), and the Ukrainian Catholic University, Ukraine. His recent publications include a critically annotated translation of The Second Vatican Council Diaries (1960-1965) of Metropolitan Maxim Hermaniuk (in English and Ukrainian) (2012), and “Affirming Sobornicity: The Ukrainian Catholic Church and Modern Ecumenism,” in Believing in Community: Ecumenical Reflections on the Church (2013). He has also co-edited In God’s Hands: Essays on the Church and Ecumenism in Honour of Michael Fahey, S.J. and Windows to the East: Eastern Christians in a Dialogue of Charity. His interests lie in Orthodox-Catholic Church relations and Eastern Christian iconography.
