Steven Denney is an associate in the Innovation Policy Lab.  He received his PhD from the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto and holds an MA in Global Affairs and Policy from Yonsei University (Seoul) and a BA in Political Science from Harding University.

Steven is a lecturer in East Asian Economy and Society for the Department of East Asia Studies at the University of Vienna and Vice-Director of the European Centre for North Korean Studies (ECNK). A comparativist by training, his core research interests lie at the intersection of migration and entrepreneurship studies. Steven specializes in surveys and experimental methods and has experience working with administrative data and mixed methods approaches for analyzing qualitative data.
