Kate Neville

Assistant Professor, Political Science and the School of the Environment

Kate Neville is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, cross-appointed to the Department of Political Science and the School of the Environment. Her research addresses contestation over resource governance and land use, particularly over emerging energy commodities and technologies. With work on biofuels in eastern Africa and hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) in the Canadian north, she probes the changing relationships among and across governments, communities, and corporations. Her publications include articles in Global Environmental Politics, Political Geography,Journal of Peasant Studies, Environmental Politics, and Third World Quarterly.
