Professor Alexandra Rahr, CSUS Bissell-Heyd Lecturer in American Studies, who specializes in American natural disasters, spoke recently to City News 1130 about Hurricane Florence and the reasons behind peoples differing reactions to evacuation orders.
This Fall, Professor Rahr is teaching a specialized seminar course on natural disasters in American history, USA401H1F: Stormy Weather: Natural Disasters in American History and Culture.
