Call for applicants – Bissell-Heyd Associates Research Fellows – Centre for the Study of the United States 

Thanks to the generosity of the Bissell-Heyd Associates of the University of Toronto, the Centre for the Study of the United States, at the Munk School of Global Affairs seeks to appoint two Research Fellows for the period of August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017. Research Fellowships are renewable up to two times.

Research Fellows are limited to existing Assistant and Associate Professors within the University of Toronto.

Their research interests should be related to the study of the United States, broadly conceived. Research Fellows will be asked to coordinate a public research event or series of events with the assistance of the Centre’s Director. These events will be the initiative of the Fellow and will reflect their own interests. Centre resources will be available both to hold such events and to aid in procuring outside resources.

Fellows will receive a stipend of $10,000. This can be put towards course release, conditional upon approval of the Chair in their host department.

Interested faculty members should submit a current CV and a one page single-spaced description of the current research interests they wish to pursue within CSUS to the Director of CSUS, by June 30, 2016. Enquiries should also be sent to the Director at: csus.director@utoronto.ca.
