On 28 January 2015, CERES assembled a panel on the the conflict in Ukraine to be examined three different yet intersecting perspectives. Professor Paul Magocsi examined Transcarpathian internal affairs and relations with its neighbours. Dr. Taras Kuzio discussed Ukrainian regional and security policies vis-a-vis Transcarpathia and Russia’s covert operations. Prof. Robert Austin focused on Hungary’s Fidesz “Revolution”, Hungarian minority policy in the region with a focus on the Hungarians in Transcarpathia, and Hungary’s evolving relations with Russia.
