On November 13, ISIS launched three murderous attacks in Paris, killing 132 people and wounding others. It was the worst terrorist atrocity in mainland France since World War II.

Prof. Stephen Toope (Director, Munk School of Global Affairs), Prof. Paul Cohen (Director, Centre des Études de la France et du Monde Francophone / Centre for the Study of France and the Francophone World), Prof. Randall Hansen (Director, Centre for European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies), Prof. Aisha Ahmad (Department of Political Science), and Prof. Lorne Dawson (Department of Sociology and Legal Studies and the Department of Religious Studies, University of Waterloo) and Prof. Stephen Saideman (Paterson Chair in International Affairs, Carleton University) will form a panel this Friday, November 20, 2015 at 5:30 p.m at the Campbell Conference Facility (Munk School, 1 Devonshire Place). The panel will explore the implications of the attacks for immigration, refugees, and security in France, Europe, and Canada. It will also ask what can be done to stop ISIS, both in the Middle East and in Europe.
