The Hungarian Studies Program at CERES has long benefited from the support of the Hungarian-Canadian Community. Their support ensures vibrant courses in culture, history, film, language and literature and a variety of scholarships for students to travel to Hungary. We pleased to announce that an anonymous donor to the Rákóczi Foundation has made a substantial commitment to support the Hungarian Studies Program over a three-year period. The funds will be used to support the Program’s annual visiting professor from Hungary in conjunction with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary. In January 2020, we will welcome Professor Izabella Füzi of the University of Szeged. Professor Füzi will teach courses in media, culture and literature.
